I went on a short day visit on the grand princess in southampton. Altough we only spent a short amount of time on the ship, our guide was very helpful and managed to show us as many of the facilities the ship had to offer. We managed to see an inside cabin which was very spacious and well layed out, we also managed to sneak a peek at a balcony cabin, which again was very spacious and well layed out, we went out onto the balcony which was nice to see as it makes a small difference having that extra bit of space to step out onto and get some fresh air. We went out onto the Lido deck which had a large pool and deck area with plenty of sun loungers and is also home to 'movies under the stars' a large outdoor screen where you can watch all the latest movies. After looking round the ship we all sat down to a lovely 4 course meal, the food was beautifull and was served by very polite and attentive staff. All in all a beautifull ship with excellent facilities, polite, friendly staff and excellent food and definately lives upto her name. I would highly recommend travelling on the Grand Princess!
