Very British, hardly any other nationalities. We met just one Amercan couple and a real bonus was there were few children on board. (Not averse to kids but I like my peace and quiet) Average age of cruiser was about 70. Small, old ship so really not for thrill seekers. I think some areas have been refurbished but not particularly modern. Entertainment was ok but I'm not a massive drinker so not much to do other than gym and read. Food was alright but not outstanding as one would expect on a cruise but the service was good. Not likely to travel on this ship again as it didnt tick all the boxes for me.

Black Watch
My Wife & I travelled on the BW spring 2007. and we quite agree with your comments, like we do not like kids, our cabin (an outside) was small had to kneel on the sette to see outside. Cabin Stewardess was not very attentive. tho kept it nice and clean. RESTURANT: what a mess. Buffet and Table Service were in one dining room. UGH At the Buffet, people were using the same servers for every dish,UGH: then walking to there seats dripping things all over the place, stickee feet on the carpets: it was chaous: Quality of the food was medioca: I can cook better for two of us: If you remember "The British Restuarants" during the war: it was something similar. Disembarkation was a shamles. we had to be up at 6.00-am, breakfast until 06.45am , the out. The BW sailed away from Southamton at 0.70am leaving us all in the departure shed awaiting our connections , who thought were ready by 09.30. what a end to a cruise NEVER AGAIN WITH FOPosted by: chickh
