Pros: Good fun, lots to do.
Cons: Easy to spend too much money

First cruise! Embarkation: Had trouble unloading our luggage, I had foot in plaster and the assistants were not friendly or helpful. Within 45 minutes of arriving at the terminal we were on board so had a nice lunch while waiting for our cabin. Heard stories of this taking a few hours so pleased that after one hour we got to our cabin and our luggage had met us there in one piece. So pleased to see our luggage as I had been unnerved by the idea of just leaving it and not seeing it until it was brought through. Now I realise it is because they x-ray everything. Took my travel iron which was annoying, no irons allowed on board and no laundry to iron my own unless i wanted to pay for dry cleaning service! Cabin: We had an inside, very small and lack of space for 2 suitcases so had to put them in between beds and climb over which was difficult with foot in plaster! Dining: Breakfasts were disappointing in the Windjammer but the rest of the time the food was excellent and varied day to day. Dinner in the dining room was delicious but service took a while. Overall for my first cruise it was fun, it was a strange experience to get used to though. Be wary that RC are always looking to take your money. Don’t get caught out by the waiters walking round offering what looks like a free glass of wine because you will be charged if you take one! The photographers are always trying to snap you and photos are expensive to buy. Alcohol isn’t too badly priced but I would’ve expected it to be cheaper. Would choose RC again though, good atmosphere and evening entertainment.
